Arsenal are preparing to resurrect their attempts to sign Swansea centre-back Ashley Williams.
The Daily Mirror reports that the Gunners are back in for the Wales international after getting word that his £10m asking price is negotiable.
The Swans would apparently let Williams leave for £8.5m if it meant him getting his shot with one of the Premier League’s elite.
Arsene Wenger confirmed at his press conference yesterday that Thomas Vermaelen will miss the first six weeks of the season with a back injury. And with left-back Nacho Monreal also out of action, the Gunners are light in defence.
