Update: UDUAGHAN SAVE US… Disabled Cry Out in Delta State

The protest that has caused so much mayhem from 9am Yesterday till about 45 minutes ago by the physically challenged people in Delta State is getting heated. After a long negotiation by Ifeanyi Ubah, a Governorship aspirant under the labour party in Anambra State with the State Chairman of the disabled people in Delta State (Comrade Isaac Obuje Omoh), the situation remains the same i.e no movement of travellers for about 10hours along the Asaba-Benin Road. According to the State Vice Chairman of The Disabled in Delta State (Comrade Okpuenyi Augustine) he said that ‘we demand full health care, in Delta State, it is surprising that we do not have school of the blind, no empowerment initiative to make us independent and no job opportunities in government parastatals’. He further said that “we will not leave here unless the Governor come to us for a negotiation”. At the moment, security of travellers along the federal road is not guaranteed as they remain stranded and hooked.
