A distinguished personality colloquium organized by the Institute of African Studies in honor of Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade (KSA) was held yesterday at the Conference Centre. The occasion has left an indellible mark on the Institute, the University of Ibadan and also the Vice Chancellor, who said he had looked forward to meeting KSA right from his secondary school days. The Vice Chancellor made this remark when the ace musician paid a courtesy call on him in his office. Thereafter, they both proceeded to the venue of the event.

Various papers giving insights on the man and his music were presented at the conference which was attended by royal and intellectual dignitaries. To round off the occasion, KSA gave a live performance where he thrilled his audience with his unique dance steps.
